Lotte Construction announced on the 7th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the 'Apartment Complex Pilot Project' with Eva, a company possessing smart electric vehicle charging technology, at its headquarters in Jamwon-dong, Seoul, on the 25th of last month.
Since discovering Eva's smart electric vehicle charging technology through the 1st Lotte Construction Technology Innovation Contest in September last year, Lotte Construction has been working with Eva to review the suitability of apartment complexes for technology application and to build the platform to apply the technology to apartment complexes.
Through this agreement, Lotte Construction plans to select pilot apartment complexes among those it has constructed, apply Eva's smart electric vehicle charging technology, and further establish an integrated electric vehicle charging management platform for apartment complexes.
Additionally, as electric vehicle charging facilities continue to increase, Lotte Construction intends to pursue future technology commercialization through joint development of charging technology with Eva.
Eva's smart electric vehicle charging technology allows up to five chargers to be connected in parallel using the power of one existing slow charger, expanding the electric vehicle charging area up to five times without increasing the electrical facility capacity. This technology is essential for improving electric vehicle charging efficiency in apartment complexes.
A representative from Lotte Construction stated, "Through this agreement, Lotte Construction will continuously pursue the establishment of an integrated electric vehicle charging management platform and technology development for apartment complexes."
