[Weather] Nationwide Morning Commute Hits Minus 10 Degrees Cold... Warms Above Freezing by Afternoon
On Monday the 7th, the whole country will have occasional clouds, and it will be cold with morning temperatures below minus 10 degrees Celsius mainly in inland Gyeonggi, inland Gangwon mountain areas, inland Chungcheong, and northern inland Gyeongbuk, along with windy conditions.
The morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between -14 and -1 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs between 1 and 7 degrees Celsius.
Fine dust levels are expected to be 'Good' to 'Moderate' across all regions due to favorable atmospheric dispersion.
In Jeju Island, rain or snow is expected in some areas from night until early morning on the 8th.
Expected precipitation and snowfall amounts are around 5 mm and 1 to 3 cm, respectively.
With dry weather warnings in effect for Seoul, parts of inland Gyeonggi, Yeongdong in Gangwon, eastern Jeonnam, and the Gyeongsang region, the air will be very dry, so special caution is required for various fires such as residential fires and forest fires.
In the outer East Sea where storm warnings are in effect, strong winds and high waves will continue until dawn, so vessels engaged in navigation or fishing should exercise special caution.
Sea waves will be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea nearshore, 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea nearshore, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the South Sea nearshore.
