After visiting the Gwangju region that day, Yoon held a press conference and said regarding the claim that he offered a position to Ahn, "There is no such fact. There is no such fact."
When asked again, Yoon explained, "I never said that," adding, "I have said that it would be good if someone with corporate experience, administrative experience, and political experience takes charge of the Digital Platform Government as a deputy prime minister or minister-level official." He continued, "That was not specifically about candidate Ahn," and said, "Candidate Ahn does not have administrative experience either." He drew a line by saying, "People can interpret it in various ways, but I have never proposed a position like that." He also mentioned that at that time, the name of Jin Dae-je, chairman of Skylake Investment (former Minister of Information and Communication), was brought up. Regarding the opposition unification issue, he said, "I think it is inappropriate to mention it publicly."
Regarding the four-party TV debate, Yoon said, "We had the Kwanhun debate, and if you want to have it on the 8th, even tonight, then do it." The People Power Party stated that they would attend the debate if it is held on the 11th, postponed due to Ahn's Kwanhun debate schedule, while the People Party criticized the People Power Party for blaming them for the debate's failure.
Yoon responded, "Our party's staff seem to have argued that not only the Press Association and JTBC but also other general programming channels and news channels should participate," adding, "I don't mind having it tomorrow evening."

When it was said that Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, called for accepting a special prosecutor (special investigation), Yoon said, "It is quite absurd for the Democratic Party to tell us to accept a special prosecutor," and added, "Let them conduct the special prosecutor investigation."
