Turkish President Tests Positive for COVID-19: "Omicron Infection, Mild Symptoms"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey, has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to foreign media including AFP on the 6th, President Erdogan announced on Twitter the day before that "I have tested positive for COVID-19 and it has been confirmed that I am infected with the Omicron variant."
He added, "My wife and I both tested positive, and the symptoms are mild," and "I will continue to work from home." President Erdogan visited Ukraine on the 3rd, held talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky, and returned home on the 4th.
