According to the quarantine authorities and local governments, from midnight to 9 PM on this day, a total of 26,801 people were confirmed infected with COVID-19 across 17 cities and provinces nationwide. This is the highest number ever recorded. It increased by 523 cases compared to the previous record of 26,273 cases set the day before.

Among the new confirmed cases, 13,872 (51.8%) were from the Seoul metropolitan area, and 12,929 (48.2%) were from non-metropolitan areas. By city and province, Seoul reported 7,030 cases, Gyeonggi 4,722 cases, and Incheon 2,120 cases, in that order. Confirmed cases were reported in all 17 cities and provinces on this day.
