Community Media for the Region... Dong-Eui University ICT College and Yeonje FM Community Radio Broadcast Sign Agreement

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Duyul] The ICT College of Engineering at Dong-Eui University signed a business agreement on the 23rd with Yeonje FM Community Radio Broadcasting regarding the development of local autonomy, the formation and maintenance of local communities, and the advancement of regional culture.
Through the agreement, the two institutions will cooperate in ▲planning and producing programs for social economy organizations and vulnerable groups ▲providing internship opportunities and field training for enrolled students to foster socially tailored talents ▲facilitating smooth business operations and management of social economy enterprises.
Kim Chi-yong, Dean of the ICT College of Engineering at Dong-Eui University, stated, “Through this agreement, we will closely collaborate on regional development, nurturing local talents, and community media education for local residents.”
The event was held prior to the launch ceremony of the ‘Yeonje Community Radio Establishment Preparation Committee,’ and Yeonje FM Community Radio, having received official approval from the Korea Communications Commission, is scheduled to launch in the first half of this year after preparatory work.

Community radio is a local-oriented broadcast with a low power output of 10W targeting cities, districts, and counties, and can be heard by tuning to FM frequency 106.3 MHz in Yeonje-gu and nearby areas.
