[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, is accepting applications from business owners who wish to participate in the 'Discounted Restaurants for Pregnant Women' program to promote a childbirth-friendly atmosphere.
The recruitment targets are restaurants, cafes, and bakeries. Designated establishments will offer a 10% discount on meal fees or purchase amounts for up to 8 people, including pregnant women.
Pregnant women receiving the benefits must have an address within the jurisdiction. When visiting the establishment, they must present identification such as an ID card or maternity handbook as proof of pregnancy.
Applications for discounted restaurants will be accepted until the end of February, with designations and operations planned for March.
Applications can be made through the Public Health and Hygiene Division's Hygiene Policy Officer at City Hall or hygiene organizations such as the Changwon City Food Service Industry Branch. Participating businesses will be supported with designated signs as well as hygiene and quarantine supplies as incentives.
