Yeonggwang-gun Hosts Mobile 'Stamp Tour' Event

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 3rd that starting this month, it will hold a mobile ‘Stamp Tour’ event that provides souvenirs to visitors who collect stamp certifications at major tourist sites within the county.

The mobile ‘Stamp Tour’ is an application that enhances convenience for tourists by moving the traditional paper stamp collecting during travels to smartphones.

Visitors can search for ‘Stamp Tour’ on their phone’s Play Store or App Store, install the app, and then travel to designated major tourist sites to receive mobile stamps.

There are a total of 20 Stamp Tour destinations, and visitors who collect 8 or more stamps can apply for a gift. Winners will be selected by lottery to receive local specialty products as presents.

Major tourist sites in the county include Baeksu Coastal Road, where visitors can enjoy spectacular coastal views and sunsets, Chilsan Tower, Indo Seung Marananta?the first site where Baekje Buddhism was introduced?and four major religious sites.

In particular, the newly created Gwaengi Seagull Wing sculpture atop the Baeksu Coastal Road Sunset Observatory, established last year, is gaining popularity among tourists.

A county official said, “Using the ‘Stamp Tour’ app allows for a fun and convenient travel experience,” and added, “We hope visitors create warm memories in beautiful Yeonggwang, where the romance of the winter sea unfolds.”
