Fantagio to Produce OCN Drama 'Blind'
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] Fantagio is officially stepping into drama production. With drama production as a starting point, the company aims to create synergy with its existing management business and grow into a comprehensive content company.
Fantagio announced on the 3rd that it will produce the OCN drama 'Blind,' scheduled to air in the second half of this year.
'Blind' is a story about ordinary people who become unjust victims because of their ordinariness and ordinary perpetrators who turn a blind eye to uncomfortable truths. The drama centers on a detective, a judge, a social worker, and nine jurors as they seek to find the culprit.
The drama is directed by PD Shin Yong-hwi, who has demonstrated solid directing skills through works such as 'God's Gift,' 'Pretty Man,' 'Tunnel,' 'Cross,' and 'Voice Season 4.' The script is written by writer Kwon Ki-kyung, who penned the coming-of-age drama 'Banalim' and 'Andante.'
Fantagio is building a high-quality content production system through a systematic producer system and production operation. Starting with the production of Blind, the company plans to expand its business by producing various dramas. It will strengthen its in-house project planning and development capabilities and enhance domestic and international content competitiveness by securing diverse IPs.
