[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] On the 1st, the Democratic Party of Korea stated, "The party and government will put all-out efforts into quarantine with extraordinary determination to overcome the immediate challenge of the Omicron variant and achieve the restoration of daily life."
Park Chan-dae, chief spokesperson of the Democratic Party's election campaign committee, said in a written briefing on the same day, "We briefly held hope for the restoration of daily life as we began 'With Corona,' but the Omicron variant that swept the world did not spare our country," adding, "Considering the reality faced by all citizens, including small business owners and self-employed people, we cannot help but feel sorry."
He emphasized, "However, with warm consolation, cooperation, and bold courage, healing and recovery will not be impossible."
He also said, "This is truly a difficult time when we have to catch two rabbits running in different directions at the same time," adding, "While thoroughly managing quarantine, we must also stabilize the real economy, prices, employment stability, and the housing market."
