Current County Governor Kim San's Job Performance: "Doing Well" 63.2% · "Doing Poorly" 24.9%
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Seo Young-seo] In the opinion poll for the Muan County Governor in the 8th nationwide simultaneous local elections held on June 1 this year, incumbent County Governor Kim San was found to be far ahead of other candidates beyond the margin of error.
According to the results of the Muan County Governor preference survey commissioned by Korea Gallup and announced by Mokpo MBC on the 30th, incumbent County Governor Kim San took the lead with 34.5%. This preference survey was conducted over two days, from the 26th to the 27th, targeting 500 voters in the Muan area of Jeonnam.
Following Governor Kim, former Jeonnam Provincial Assemblyman Jeong Young-deok, who recently rejoined the party, received 11.4%, current Muan County Council Chairman Kim Dae-hyun 8.5%, former Muan County Council Chairman Lee Jeong-woon 6.7%, current Muan County Council Member Kang Byung-guk 6.2%, and former Muan County Forestry Cooperative Chairman Choi Ok-soo 4.5%. Others responded with 'none' at 12.2%, and 'don't know/refused to answer' at 16.0%.
All six candidates for Muan County Governor belong to the Democratic Party of Korea. In the regional candidate preference, incumbent Governor Kim San showed a preference rate in the 30% range in both electoral districts 1 (Muan, Hyeongyeong, Mangun, Haeje, Unnam) and 2 (Samhyang, Illo, Mongtan, Cheonggye), while other candidates showed varying degrees of preference differences by electoral district.
Regarding the job performance of incumbent Muan County Governor Kim San, 63.2% responded 'doing well,' while 24.9% said 'doing poorly,' with positive evaluations more than twice as high as negative ones.
