Chungnam Province, Recruiting Operating Agencies for 'New Middle-Aged Job Project'
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province is launching a recruitment for operating institutions for the Senior Middle-aged Job Project.
The project is promoted to utilize the careers and expertise of retirees and unemployed individuals aged 50 to under 70 to provide services needed by the local community.
Eligible applicants include (preliminary) social enterprises, social cooperatives, non-profit corporations, and organizations.
Institutions wishing to participate can visit the Provincial Senior Welfare Division by February 11 with the application form and project plan for submission.
The main projects include two fields: hospital treatment assistance services and career-type projects for vulnerable groups' learning guidance, as well as 13 fields of social contribution projects such as management, social services, legal affairs, and counseling. The province plans to select operating institutions, recruit participants, and officially launch the project starting in March.

Gu Jae-myung, head of the Provincial Senior Welfare Division, said, “The Senior Middle-aged Job Project will provide new jobs to experienced individuals facing difficulties due to retirement and career breaks, serving as a driving force for continuing their second life.”
