North Korea Holds Expanded Cabinet Plenary Meeting to Discuss 'Our-Style Economy'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] North Korea held an expanded plenary meeting of the Cabinet and evaluated last year's achievements while discussing the 'our-style economic management method.'
On the 29th, the Korean Central News Agency reported that the expanded plenary meeting of the Cabinet was held via video conference the previous day, presided over by Premier Kim Deok-hoon.
At the meeting, the results of major policy goals decided at the 8th term 2nd plenary meeting last year were reported. Projects that proposed and implemented practical economic management measures were mentioned, and problems and improvements observed in last year's economic activities were also discussed.
In the subsequent discussion, ways to overcome 'negative phenomena that hinder economic development' and to study and complete 'our-style economic management method that can practically guarantee the country's economic development and improvement of people's living standards' were deliberated.

The meeting was attended by Cabinet members including Vice Premiers Park Jeong-geun and Jeon Hyeon-cheol. In addition, officials from Cabinet-affiliated institutions, provincial and city-level officials, chairpersons of county people's committees, agricultural guidance institutions, and executives of important factories and enterprises observed the meeting.
