[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] On the 28th, Lee Jinsuk, Head of Battery Management Strategy at SK Innovation, stated during the Q4 earnings conference call hosted by SK Innovation, "Most cathode material metals are linked to the battery (secondary battery) selling price, and some non-linked materials such as copper and aluminum may have some impact on battery profitability." He added, "We believe the rise in raw material prices will partially ease after the Beijing Winter Olympics, as the power shortage issue in China is resolved." He further said, "From the second half of this year, raw material supply will also increase, and we expect the raw material price issue to be resolved by the second half of this year or the first half of next year."
