[Asia Economy Online Issue Team] Hwangbo, a former member of the group Chakra and a cosmetics and fashion entrepreneur, revealed her financial management methods.
Hwangbo appeared on the cable channel KBS Joy variety show 'National Receipt' aired on the afternoon of the 26th.
Kim Sook asked, "Are you doing any savings or financial management?" and Hwangbo emphasized, "Savings are essential! Everyone must save."
Hwangbo continued, "I've been saving since my 20s. I put aside 100,000 won every month." Kim Sook teased, "My nephew is 15 years old now and is saving 100,000 won a month," to which Hwangbo confidently replied, "At least I'm doing it, even if barely."
Kim Sook, surprised, said, "I calculated it, and over 20 years of activity, saving 100,000 won a month amounts to 24 million won," and Hwangbo responded with delight, "Oh my, that's a lot~," drawing laughter.
Kim Sook also asked, "Do you invest in stocks or other financial products?" Hwangbo said, "I do invest in stocks," but added, "If I do it, even the kid next door does it. It's ridiculous that someone who doesn't trust banks or anything else invests in stocks."
