Jangseong-gun, All-Out Effort to Curb COVID-19 Spread... Operation of Screening Clinics

The county announced on the 26th that it has organized a comprehensive situation team of 105 members in 5 groups centered on the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to operate during the holiday period.

They plan to actively respond to various disaster situations and quickly disseminate information using disaster text messages, disaster broadcasts, and village broadcasting systems.

The county installed a temporary screening clinic at the Baekyangsa Rest Area on the highway (Suncheon direction) and started testing from the 24th, conducting preemptive diagnostic tests at the gateway to Gwangju and Jeonnam to effectively block the local spread of the virus.

The operating hours are from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and it will remain open during the Lunar New Year holiday.

It will operate for four weeks until the 20th of next month, and anyone can use it regardless of their region.

COVID-19 diagnostic tests are also available at the Jangseong-gun Public Health Center.

The county operates screening clinics from 9 AM to 5:30 PM even during the holiday, conducting rapid antigen tests and PCR tests for high-risk groups together.

Other quarantine and emergency situations occurring during the holiday period will be handled by the COVID-19 Quarantine Situation Room and the Emergency Medical Countermeasures Situation Room.

During the holiday, contacting the Jangseong-gun Public Health Center will connect you to the situation room.

The county disinfects public transportation facilities such as the public bus terminal and Jangseong Station more than twice a day and makes thorough preparations for quarantine through prior inspections.

There are 535 workplaces employing foreigners in the region, which are managed intensively on a 1:1 basis by dedicated public officials.

Facilities used by elderly residents, such as senior centers, are all temporarily closed, and contact visits to nursing facilities are prohibited.

If visits are unavoidable, only those who have completed vaccination must apply in advance for non-contact visits.

The ritual rooms and pavilions inside the memorial park are closed, eating is not allowed, and the use of online memorial and grave visiting services is recommended.

A county official said, “We ask that you refrain from visiting other regions or visiting family members as much as possible this Lunar New Year,” and “We will do our best to prepare so that all residents can spend the holiday without worry.”
