Samsung Electro-Mechanics Reports 62% Surge in Operating Profit Last Year... Cash Dividend of 2,100 KRW per Share
[Asia Economy Reporter Ji Yeon-jin] Samsung Electro-Mechanics announced on the 26th that it has decided to pay a cash dividend of 2,100 KRW per common share. The total dividend amount is 158.7 billion KRW, and the dividend record date is December 31.
The company reported that its sales in the fourth quarter of last year increased by 29.6% year-on-year to 2.4299 trillion KRW, and operating profit rose by 21.2% to 316.2 billion KRW. The cumulative sales for last year amounted to 9.675 trillion KRW, up 24.8%, and operating profit surged by 62.9% to 1.4868 trillion KRW, according to provisional figures.

However, the short-term net profit for the fourth quarter of last year fell by 58.7% to 84.6 billion KRW, resulting in an estimated net profit of 915.4 billion KRW for the entire year.
