Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance - Seoul Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, Discover Startups and Support Their Business
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance announced on the 26th that it will jointly hold the ‘Startup Open Stage’ with the Seoul Center for Creative Economy and Innovation and plans to collaborate with the startups discovered through this event.
Since October last year, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance has been recruiting startups in five fields?mobility, fintech, vertical platforms, data analysis, and healthcare?through the open innovation program ‘Startup Open Stage’ aimed at fostering collaboration with startups.
More than 100 startups applied for this event, and Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance selected three final startups (▲NubeeLab ▲MostBuy ▲HappyToCU) through screening and began discussions for collaboration with them.
‘NubeeLab’ is a company that provides a nutrition management solution (Auto AI Food Diary) by automatically analyzing diet images, and it is preparing to offer this feature to customers of Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance’s health management platform, ‘Hi Health Challenge.’
‘MostBuy’ operates the app (JellyView) that allows real-time monitoring of newborns’ conditions through cameras installed in postpartum care centers, and it is discussing with Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance about providing various content necessary for mothers.
‘HappyToCU,’ the operator of the children’s financial education platform (Aikuka) where parents and children participate together, plans to jointly research content that parents and children can enjoy together with Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, a domestic leader in children’s insurance.
The Seoul Center for Creative Economy and Innovation will provide the three selected startups with opportunities such as investment review, linkage to residency, and recommendations for research and development (R&D) support projects. Additionally, it will support commercialization funds through the Seoul Startup Hub (SBA) and recommend them to programs operated by major domestic nurturing institutions.
