Ministry of Gender Equality and Family to Hold '2022 Women's New Year Meeting' on the 27th
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the Korean Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education will hold the '2022 Women's New Year Meeting' at 2 p.m. on the 27th at Post Tower in Jung-gu, Seoul.
This New Year meeting will be held under the theme "A Gender-Equal Korea Created Together with Inclusion and Consideration." It is an opportunity to review past efforts and achievements for gender equality and to share the direction moving forward.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, only a small number of attendees including senior women leaders, representatives from various sectors, and related organizations will be present on-site, and the event will be broadcast live through the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family's YouTube channel.
The event will begin with a theme video conveying the message "Let's unite and move forward toward a gender-equal Korea," followed by greetings, congratulatory speeches from the President and various dignitaries, and a segment titled "Commitments and Hopes" linking online and offline participants.
During the "Commitments and Hopes" segment, attendees at the New Year meeting and women leaders active in various fields, as well as staff from organizations dedicated to supporting victims of digital sex crimes, Women's New Work Centers, family centers, and others will be connected in real time to share diverse stories.
