The Seoul Eastern District Court will conduct a pre-arrest detention hearing (warrant review) for public official A, who belongs to the Investment Attraction Division of Gangdong-gu Office and is accused of embezzlement, at 10:30 a.m. on the 26th.
The warrant review involves the prosecution's special investigation team explaining the necessity of detaining the public official, followed by rebuttals. The judge may also ask questions directly.

Meanwhile, A was arrested by the police on the 24th on charges of embezzling investment funds worth approximately 11.5 billion KRW while working in the Investment Attraction Division of the district office for about a year, from around December 18, 2019, to around February 5 of last year.
