Small-Scale Maintenance Projects, Business Feasibility Analysis, and National Funding Support... Integrated Support Center Opens
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 25th that it opened the "Small-scale Housing Maintenance Project Integrated Support Center (Sotong Center)" at the Korea Real Estate Board on January 26 to support the small-scale housing maintenance management areas and small-scale housing maintenance projects introduced through the '3080+ Metropolitan Area Housing Supply Plan.'
The Sotong Center operates at the Korea Real Estate Board headquarters (Daegu) and Seoul office, providing guidance and support for a series of procedures including project feasibility analysis, formation of associations (resident consensus bodies), project approval applications, design and construction commencement, and national subsidy support for small-scale housing maintenance projects.
Since small-scale housing maintenance projects are limited in scale and individual residents find it difficult to understand the detailed procedures or methods of project promotion, it has been challenging to smoothly advance projects relying solely on residents' efforts.
From now on, through the Sotong Centers in Daegu and Seoul and the Korea Real Estate Board branches, consultations on the establishment of associations, project approval applications, and procedures and systems related to small-scale housing maintenance can be received anywhere nationwide. Upon request from local residents or local governments, reviews of the contents of plans prepared for carrying out small-scale housing maintenance projects and project feasibility analyses will also be supported.
In particular, the center provides consulting on the establishment procedures and methods of management plans prepared by local governments for the designation of 'Small-scale Housing Maintenance Management Areas' introduced through the '3080+ Metropolitan Area Housing Supply Plan,' and supports installation costs for maintenance infrastructure and shared facilities within the management areas.
Nam Young-woo, Head of the Public Housing Promotion Division at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, said, "The Sotong Center will continuously discover and support areas in need of small-scale housing maintenance, striving to help all citizens live in pleasant and livable neighborhoods without any marginalized or deteriorated areas."
