Chef Jeong Chang-wook Booked on Charges of Assaulting Acquaintance and Threatening with a Weapon
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Famous chef Jung Chang-wook has been booked by the police on charges of assaulting an acquaintance and threatening with a weapon.
According to the police on the 21st, the Jongno Police Station in Seoul is investigating Jung on charges of special assault, special intimidation, and insult.
The victim, Mr. A, who is an acquaintance of Jung, reportedly filed a complaint with the police, stating that he experienced this incident while visiting Hawaii, USA, in August last year to film a personal broadcast.
Mr. A is known to have claimed that Jung assaulted him and another colleague and threatened them by holding a weapon to their necks.

Jung was also fined after being caught driving under the influence while intoxicated on a road in Jung-gu, Seoul, in the early morning of May 9 last year.
