View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Song Hwajeong] The Korea Exchange announced on the 21st that it selected Daishin Securities and Korea Investment & Securities as the outstanding IBs in the KOSDAQ market for 2021, and Kyobo Securities and IBK Investment & Securities as the outstanding IBs in the KONEX market, respectively, and awarded them.
The Exchange explained that the selection was made by comprehensively considering market contribution such as listing performance in the KOSDAQ and KONEX markets and the appropriateness of IB business execution. Since 2015, the Exchange has been selecting outstanding IBs in the KOSDAQ and KONEX markets to promote the activation of listings in these markets through appropriate evaluation of IB underwriting work.

At the awards ceremony, Sohn Byung-doo, Chairman of the Korea Exchange, said in his greeting, "Last year, the IPO market recorded the highest since 2002 with a total of 91 companies (excluding SPACs) listed on the KOSDAQ market, and outstanding IBs and other underwriters played a significant role in discovering companies with high growth potential." He emphasized, "This year, the Exchange will continue to promote various projects for greater development of the KOSDAQ and KONEX markets, including the introduction of the KOSDAQ segment and improvement of the KONEX market system."
