Fire Authorities Issue Level 1 Response Alert
A fire broke out at a car battery manufacturing plant located in Cheongju, Chungbuk, and the fire authorities are currently extinguishing the fire.

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] At around 3 p.m. on the 21st, a fire broke out at EcoPro BM, a manufacturer of automotive battery anode materials, located in Juseong-ri, Ochang-eup, Cheongwon-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungbuk.
The fire department issued a Level 1 response and deployed 40 firefighters and 16 pieces of equipment to extinguish the fire.
Currently, black smoke is rising from the factory where the fire occurred, and the fire authorities are assuming it to be an explosion accident.
A police official stated, "One person has been rescued and transported to the hospital, and four people are believed to be inside the factory."
A fire official also said, "It has been confirmed that people are inside the factory, and we plan to respond with full force."
