An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on the 21st, "Regarding North Korea's recent ballistic missile launches, the Security Council held a closed meeting on the 20th (local time) to exchange views on the current situation," adding, "The government is closely communicating with major Security Council members, including the United States, about the current situation on the Korean Peninsula and future response directions."
The Security Council convened a closed meeting on the 17th concerning North Korea's ballistic missile (KN-24) launch, but due to opposition from China, a permanent member, no joint outcome was produced.
