Jungjingong Announces Call for Subcontractors for 'Global Procurement Marketer Project'
Annual Project Budget of 1 Billion KRW This Year... Applications Open Until February 11
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Kwon Chil-seung, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) and the Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 21st that they will publicly recruit one subsidiary operator for the Global Procurement Marketer project.
The Global Procurement Marketer project is a newly introduced initiative by the Ministry and SBC last year to support domestic SMEs' entry into the international organization procurement market. The target for subsidiary operator recruitment is educational or consulting companies or institutions possessing expertise in global procurement markets such as international organizations. The project budget is 1 billion KRW.
The subsidiary operator will be responsible for education, consulting, and bid preparation/support for entry into the international organization procurement market. Education and consulting include ▲providing basic education on the international organization procurement market and bidding processes ▲aiming to establish a foundation for sustainable management through sustainability consulting. Bid preparation and support include ▲close assistance for bidding such as preparing common documents for international organization bids, vendor registration, bid proposals, and reverse auctions ▲supporting various matters needed during the negotiation phase upon winning the bid.

Detailed information such as eligibility for subsidiary operator support and required submission documents can be found in the announcement, and inquiries can be made to the SBC Export Marketing Division. Chairman Kim Hak-do stated, "The international organization procurement market is a huge market worth 26 trillion KRW as of 2020, but Korea's average market share is only about 1%. SBC plans to first select a capable subsidiary operator to jointly operate the project and then actively support expanding SMEs' entry into the global procurement market by recruiting participating companies in February."
