Yeonggwang-gun Expands Eligibility for 'Integrated Cultural Voucher' Support Starting This Year

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 20th that starting this year, it will expand the support target of the Integrated Cultural Voucher, which was provided to 80% of basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income groups, to 100% in order to improve the cultural life of vulnerable groups.

To enhance the cultural life of vulnerable groups, beneficiaries will be basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income groups aged 6 and older, who will be able to receive and use a 100,000 KRW Cultural Nuri Card (one card per person) as in the previous year.

The Cultural Nuri Card can be used to watch performances, movies, exhibitions, sports games, or to purchase cultural products such as books and music albums, and can also be used for hotel and pension accommodations.

Also, with the implementation of the automatic recharge system, residents who have already received the card and maintain their eligibility will be automatically recharged by the 21st without a separate application, reducing the hassle of applying each time, which is expected to increase card usage rates.

Those whose card validity expired before January 31 of this year, those who did not use the full amount last year, and those issued by welfare facilities will not be automatically recharged.

A county official said, “We hope that the Cultural Nuri Card project will expand opportunities for residents to enjoy culture,” and added, “We will work closely with the eup and myeon offices to thoroughly prepare for issuance and promote the project.”
