Ulsan Social Service Center Opens... Direct Operation of Some Private Consignment Projects
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Ulsan Social Service Center, which oversees social welfare service operations, will hold its opening ceremony at 3:30 PM on the 20th in Ujeong-dong, Jung-gu, and begin full-scale operations.
The Social Service Center will operate public facilities entrusted by local governments.
Ulsan City established the Social Service Center by conducting a feasibility study and forming an establishment promotion committee to strengthen the professionalism and public nature of social services.
In its first year of operation, some projects previously entrusted to the private sector, such as the Community Social Service Support Group and the Substitute Workforce Support Center for Social Welfare Facility Workers, will be directly managed.
Additionally, it will provide consulting on accounting and labor issues for private welfare facilities and conduct policy research to respond to the changing welfare environment.
