9th Day of Collapse... HDC Hyundai Development Company Raided for Search and Seizure
On the 9th day of the Gwangju Hwajeong I-Park collapse accident, on the 19th, the police and the Ministry of Employment and Labor conducted a search and seizure at the headquarters of Hyundai Development Company, the construction company, and the Seo-gu Office of Gwangju Metropolitan City, which holds the permit authority. The search and seizure were carried out to verify whether a structural stability review was properly conducted during the design change process of the floor formwork structure on the 39th floor of the collapsed building. The police secured documents and electronic data related to the Gwangju collapse accident through the search and seizure that lasted over seven hours.
