'Three Mothers Murder' Kim Taehyun Second Trial Verdict Today... First Trial Was Life Imprisonment
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The appellate court ruling for Kim Taehyun (26), who was sentenced to life imprisonment in the first trial for brutally murdering a mother and her two daughters in an apartment in Nowon-gu, Seoul, will be announced on the 19th.
The Seoul High Court Criminal Division 6-3 (Presiding Judges Jo Eun-rae, Kim Yong-ha, Jeong Chong-ryeong) will hold the sentencing hearing at 2:30 p.m. on the same day for Kim, who was tried on charges including murder.
Kim was arrested and indicted on charges of killing A, whom he met through an online game last March, after A stopped meeting him. Kim went to the apartment where A’s family lived and sequentially murdered A, her younger sister, and mother. Kim stabbed the younger sister with a knife when A was not home and immediately killed the mother who came in afterward. Later, A, who returned home from work, also died at Kim’s hands.
