GS Fresh Mall Expands 'Fresh Big Day' Flagship Event... Up to 91% Discount
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] GS Retail's online grocery shopping platform GS Fresh Mall announced on the 16th that it will expand the 'Fresh Big Day' event, which was held for the first time on the 5th and 6th and recorded the highest sales ever, into a flagship event for the channel.
GS Fresh Mall explained, "The sales of the first Fresh Big Day event increased by 98% compared to the average performance of events over the past year, and the number of new member sign-ups surged fourfold."
'Fresh Big Day' is a flagship event planned this year with the GS Fresh Mall brand name prominently featured. Unlike previous one-time events, it is characterized by being held regularly throughout the year on the first and third Tuesday from 5 PM to Wednesday 5 PM. Hundreds of products selected based on customer purchase data and seasonal factors are offered as Fresh Big Day event items and sold at the lowest prices of the year.
GS Fresh Mall will hold the second 'Fresh Big Day' event from 5 PM on the 18th to 5 PM on the 19th. The scale of event products has increased by about 30% compared to the first event, with around 200 items, and the maximum discount rate reaches 91%.
The main event product, 'Seolhyang Strawberry 500g,' is priced at the lowest nationwide level for the same weight. 'Del Monte Banana 1.3kg' is offered at a 60% discount off the regular price. 'LA Galbi 1.5kg' is discounted up to 35%, and GS Fresh Mall's best popular product 'Hanam Jjukkumi 420g' is discounted by 37%.
The product with the highest discount rate is 'Good Day Fermented Red Ginseng 50㎖ (30 packets),' sold at a 91% discount off the regular price. An unusual event product included is the 'LG StanbyMe.' GS Fresh Mall plans to sell the prepared quantity (10 units) online at the lowest price on a first-come, first-served basis.

During the 'Fresh Big Day' event period, GS Retail exclusive points called 'The Pop Rewards,' which can be used like cash on GS Fresh Mall, will be provided according to the purchase amount. Customers will receive 15,000 rewards points for purchases of 100,000 KRW and 10,000 rewards points for purchases of 70,000 KRW. Customers paying 50,000 KRW or more with a Samsung Card can also receive a 5% billing discount benefit.
