Fly Gangwon Obtains Flight Operation Permit for Yangyang~Yeosu Route
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Fly Gangwon announced on the 14th that it has obtained flight operation approval from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for the Yangyang~Yeosu route.
The new Yangyang~Yeosu route to be launched by Fly Gangwon is scheduled to operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. While traveling by land between the two cities takes about 7 hours, it is possible to travel within an hour by air.
Through the air route connecting Yangyang in Gangwon Province and Yeosu in Jeollanam-do, both major domestic tourist destinations, it is expected to provide opportunities to enjoy attractions such as Seoraksan and ski resorts in Gangwon Province, the East Sea, the North-South border area, and the Yeosu night sea.

A Fly Gangwon official said, “This is the first time in Korean aviation history that an air route connects Gangwon and Jeollanam-do,” adding, “As Gangwon’s representative airline, we will continue to prepare domestic and international routes to meet the diverse travel demands of our Gangwon residents.”
