Daejeon City Recruiting Users for 'Community Social Services'
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 12th that it is recruiting users for this year's Community Social Service Investment Project (income-based social service provision).
The project is being promoted to provide customized welfare services such as emotional support and health promotion, considering the characteristics of different groups including the elderly, children and adolescents, and people with disabilities.
The number of recruits is 3,570 (Dong-gu 700, Jung-gu 750, Seo-gu 920, Yuseong-gu 600, Daedeok-gu 600), and those who wish to use the service can apply at the resident center in charge of their address with identification and other required documents from the 17th to the 21st of this month.
The application fields include 9 projects in the elderly and disabled sector such as the ‘Naiya! Gara Project’, 9 projects in the children and adolescent sector such as the ‘Children and Adolescent Psychological Support Service’, and 6 projects for other vulnerable groups such as the ‘Dementia Family Mind and Body Recharge Service’, operating a total of 24 programs across 3 sectors.
Users can select the service and provider they wish, and the service cost is covered by government subsidies (electronic vouchers) and user co-payments (10~50%). The service can be used for up to 12 months.
The selection criteria prioritize households with income below 160% of the median income (criteria vary by service type), selecting in order of low income based on health insurance premiums. Depending on the service, those exceeding the income criteria may still use the service by paying the co-payment if they meet other requirements.
The first recruitment period is as follows: elderly sector on the 17th~18th, children and adolescent sector on the 19th, disabled and other sectors on the 20th, and all sectors on the 21st.
The second recruitment is scheduled to take place from late June to early July.
For detailed information such as the number of recruits per project, required documents, and recruitment periods, please contact the resident center or district office in charge or refer to the notices on the Community Social Service Support Group website.
