The Net Zero Foundation is a non-profit corporation established in February 2021 to proactively respond to the climate crisis, develop policies and proposals for achieving carbon neutrality, and foster cooperation with domestic and international academia and research institutes.
This agreement was promoted to enable cooperation between the Climate Foundation, which has human infrastructure for policy development and proposals, and Changwon City, which is promoting Smart Green Industrial Complexes, eco-friendly hydrogen industries, and the expansion of solar power installations on factory roofs.
The main points include exchange of information and mutual cooperation to respond to the climate crisis, cooperation on regional joint projects, participation in practical actions related to climate, environment, and energy, collaboration and exchange with various local institutions, and public interest activities through campaigns.
Chairman Jang Dae-sik said, “The climate crisis is approaching rapidly, and it is time for everyone to act,” adding, “We will play a role in publicizing Changwon’s leadership in the hydrogen industry and examples such as the cessation of paper towel use by public officials domestically and internationally, and we expect inclusive climate crisis overcoming achievements from this agreement between the two organizations.”
