Jangseong-gun Holds 'Agriculture and Forestry Subsidy Project Briefing'... Policy and Direction Guidance

[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do held the '2022 Agricultural and Forestry Subsidy Project Briefing Session' on the 10th, providing guidance on agricultural policies and directions to be pursued throughout the year.

According to the county on the 11th, about 40 public officials in charge of the agricultural sector participated in this briefing session, which was conducted via a non-face-to-face video conference to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

During the meeting, the county shared detailed information on a total of 159 agricultural policy projects, local subsidy management standards, and subsidy project implementation guidelines with the participants.

They also plan to focus on creating premium rice specialized complexes, enhancing the competitiveness of eco-friendly agriculture, and fostering golden healing agricultural product cultivation complexes.

They intend to establish more stable distribution channels for small and medium-sized farmers' agricultural products and strengthen post corona (post COVID-19 end or stabilization period) response online agricultural education.

To enable farmers to participate in projects in a timely manner, a 'Agricultural and Forestry Subsidy Project Guide' containing project details by sector and contact information of responsible personnel will be produced and placed in village halls.

A county official said, "The guide produced by the county plays a significant role in informing farms about agricultural and forestry subsidy projects," adding, "Since most subsidy applications close on the 8th of next month, farmers wishing to apply should visit the Agricultural Technology Center or Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Centers and submit their applications without delay."
