An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on the 11th that regarding the joint statement issued last week by six countries including the United States condemning North Korea's ballistic missile launches, “We share concerns about North Korea's ballistic missile launches,” and “As this is a critical time for regional stability, we urge North Korea to refrain from provocative actions and to promptly return to dialogue.”
Six countries including the United States, Japan, Albania, France, Ireland, and the United Kingdom issued a statement on the 10th (local time) ahead of a closed-door meeting of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), condemning North Korea's missile launches and mentioning the goal of “Complete, Verifiable, and Irreversible Denuclearization” (CVID).
The Security Council held a closed-door meeting in the early hours of the day Korea time to discuss North Korea's missile launches, but only exchanged views without producing any formal outcome, and no further discussions are scheduled.
