Kyobo Securities, UNGC Social Responsibility International Agreement Membership Ceremony
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Kyobo Securities announced on the 11th that it held a certificate presentation ceremony for joining the 'UN Global Compact' to fulfill corporate social responsibility and accelerate sustainable management.
The UNGC is an international agreement launched to strengthen corporate social responsibility and is the world's largest voluntary corporate citizenship initiative. It supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), which the international community has resolved to achieve by 2030 for sustainable development.
Going forward, Kyobo Securities plans to comply with the 10 principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, and communicate its practical activities and achievements to stakeholders to fulfill its social responsibilities.
Lee Seok-ki, CEO of Kyobo Securities, said, "Starting with joining the UNGC, we plan to actively participate in various global ESG activities," and added, "We will strive to create positive changes in the world through differentiated ESG management."

Meanwhile, Kyobo Securities established an ESG Committee directly under the board of directors in June last year and is operating an ESG Management Working Council to systematically support ESG management promotion. This year, it plans to lead social responsibility management by publishing a sustainable management report.
