Gwangju Buk-gu, Permanent Rental Apartment Commercial Space Remodeling Creates 'Cheongnyeon Gongjakso'
Recruiting Youth Companies to Move into Startup Spaces
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju announced on the 10th that it is recruiting youth enterprises to move into the Youth Workshop in the permanent rental apartment by the 28th to support local youths' startups.
This project is part of the '2021 Village Workshop Promotion Project' and the '2021 Smart Town Creation Project' led by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, remodeling the commercial spaces in permanent rental apartments to provide startup spaces for young people.
The eligibility for moving into the Youth Workshop is youths aged 39 or younger who are prospective entrepreneurs or have been registered business owners for less than 5 years, with a total of 10 youth enterprises being recruited.
Selected companies can use the startup space free of charge, receive startup consulting, and other various supports, and can stay for up to 4 years.
Buk-gu plans to revitalize the region by attracting young people through this project along with the Gak-hwa Residential Regeneration Project being promoted together with Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).
Director Moon said, "I hope the Youth Workshop project within permanent rental housing will be a good opportunity to invigorate young people struggling with startups and local residents."
Meanwhile, Buk-gu plans to complete remodeling of the underground commercial spaces of Duam Jugong 4 Complex and Ochi Jugong 1 Complex within this month.
