InterContinental, Lunar New Year Gift Sets and Chef's Signature Menu Pre-Order Sale
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] The Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas and InterContinental Seoul COEX announced on the 10th that they will be taking pre-orders for Lunar New Year gift sets until the 6th of next month in celebration of the 2022 Lunar New Year.
The hotel explained, "We offer over 40 products including premium Korean beef, wine, and whiskey, as well as a premium ceremonial table prepared by InterContinental’s Korean cuisine specialist chefs. Additionally, restaurant signature dishes prepared as fully cooked products for easy enjoyment at home will be delivered free of charge."
They have prepared a variety of premium Korean beef gift sets including the highest-grade Korean beef special cuts and Dokdo Dohasea shrimp set, limited to 20 sets, as well as fresh truffle sets, Korean beef steak, and a 12-item Korean beef omakase set. A selection of six bottles of premium white wine produced in Meursault, Burgundy, France, and a limited edition of 6,000 bottles of Colloreto wine from Vivi Gratz, Italy, will be sold in limited quantities of 5 and 3 sets respectively. Due to the recent increase in whiskey demand, limited quantities of Ballantine’s 40-year-old whiskey and Glenlivet vintage malt whiskey will also be available.
The 'Grand Kitchen Chef’s Special Ceremonial Table,' prepared by Korean cuisine specialist chefs using the highest-grade domestic ingredients, includes nine types of ceremonial dishes such as salted yellow croaker, Korean beef, and octopus, including fish and meat dishes like eojuk and yukjuk, and sea bream jeon, delivered directly to homes (Seoul and Gyeonggi areas). Fully cooked menu items prepared by head chefs from five hotel restaurants are also sold as gifts so families can enjoy the hotel restaurant’s signature dishes without going out.
The 'Buldodjang Set' from the Chinese restaurant Weilu, personally cooked by the head chef, includes ASC-certified abalone, silver ear mushrooms, pine mushrooms, dried sea cucumber, and dried scallops. The Japanese restaurant Hakone’s 'Abalone Sauce Set' uses 5-year-old abalone from Wando, prepared with the chef’s unique cooking method and secret soy sauce. The 'Galbi and Arongsatae Steamed Set' from Asian Live is completed with a rib sauce made from natural ingredients. The 'Master Chef Homemade Set' from Grand Deli consists of patented sausages, salmon, and cold cuts.

The 2022 InterContinental Lunar New Year gift sets will be available for pre-order until February 6th. InterContinental Chef’s Choice gifts, Chef’s Special Ceremonial Tables, and restaurant signature menus will be delivered directly by hotel staff to Seoul and some metropolitan areas.
