Mayfield Hotel Seoul Presents Chef's Sincere Gift and Traditional Holiday Foods
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Mayfield Hotel Seoul announced on the 10th that it has prepared premium Lunar New Year gifts and table settings.
As the trend of contactless holidays continues due to COVID-19, instead of visiting family and friends in person, people are expressing their feelings through gifts, and the hotel chefs have prepared everything from ingredient preparation to packaging to make holiday meals easy to prepare.
Nakwon offers the consistently popular "Premium Galbi Set" as a holiday gift until February 2. It features carefully selected domestic Korean beef raised in the clean regions of Gangwon Province, seasoned with herbal medicine, shiitake mushrooms, fruits, and honey, and aged to perfection. The set includes domestic Korean beef marinated galbi (1.5 kg), U.S. marinated galbi (1.5 kg), U.S. marinated galbi (800 g), and galbijjim (braised short ribs) (500 g) in an assorted set.
The Korean traditional restaurant Bongraeheon presents the Lunar New Year table setting called "Sechan." "Sechan" refers to dishes prepared for the Lunar New Year ancestral rites or to serve esteemed guests. The executive chef prepares the dishes early in the morning using top-quality ingredients, and the sauces such as gochujang, doenjang, and soy sauce are homemade and fermented.
