Potential Introduction of Cybertruck-Related Equipment Detected
[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] There is a forecast that the US electric vehicle company Tesla will start operating the 'Gigafactory' built in Austin, Texas within a few days and begin mass production of the Model Y vehicles.
Attention is focused on the possibility that Tesla, which sold 940,000 vehicles last year despite the semiconductor supply shortage, will soar once again through increased production capacity.
Dan Ives, an analyst at Wedbush Securities, claimed on Twitter on the 8th (local time) that Tesla will start operating the Austin Gigafactory within the next 7 to 10 days.
Analyst Ives stated that equipment installation and test operations for Model Y production are underway and are likely already in the final stages.
He explained, "The green light has been turned on for Tesla's Austin Gigafactory operation."

Once the Austin Gigafactory begins operation, Tesla's vehicle production could increase significantly.
Local governments have also started paperwork for the operation of the Austin Gigafactory. A spokesperson for Travis County, Texas, where the Gigafactory is located, stated, "We have received the fire code compliance certificate for factory operation."
A video released by a netizen suggested the possibility that equipment related to the production of the yet-to-be-released pickup truck 'Cybertruck' has been brought in.
The market expects the Gigafactory to produce the Model Y first, followed by the Cybertruck, Model 3, and the electric truck 'Semi.'
