[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] The Gyeyang Police Station in Incheon announced on the 8th that they have booked a middle school student, A (15), without detention on charges of joint assault and obstruction of official duties under the Act on the Punishment of Violent Acts.
A is accused of assaulting B (16), a female middle school student, by pulling and pushing her body with her hands on a street in Gyeyang-gu, Gyesan-dong, Incheon, around 6:30 PM on the 6th.
Two elementary school students, including C (12), were also investigated for participating in the assault on B together with A.
It was confirmed that A kicked a police officer's thigh during the process of being arrested on the spot by the police who responded to the report.
The perpetrators, including A, and B knew each other through a runaway youth group on social networking services (SNS). A and others called B out on the day, claiming that B had spoken ill of their appearances, and assaulted her when she tried to escape by taxi.
