Theinus, 2022 Tile Trends: "Natural · Artistic"
The bathroom specialist company Theinus revealed the 2022 tile trends for bathroom styling that has become a healing space.
Theinus proposed tile trends for distinctive bathroom styling considering a lifestyle that enjoys rest and recharging in the bathroom. The bathroom tiles of the year suggested by Theinus are expected to feature contrasting styles of 'Natural Pattern,' which preserves the texture of nature, and the colorful and intense 'Artistic Pattern' simultaneously trending.
Reflecting consumer psychology that desires to feel nature even at home amid the pandemic era, Theinus predicted that tile designs embodying 'Comfort in Natural,' such as rough-surfaced stone and wood grain, will continue to be preferred this year. Representative tiles include 'Slate Stone,' which preserves the rugged texture of uneven stones, and 'Travertine,' which has a coarse grain.
In sharp contrast to the tendency to reproduce nature as it is, tiles applying the colorful and artistic 'Artistic' style are also expected to attract attention. This is perfect for people who prefer strong individuality styles in the home trend that identifies the home and self as one. Representative tiles include mosaics or geometric patterns applying primary colors, inspired by the 'Mid-century Modern' style characterized by minimal design and vintage colors.
Hong Seung-ryeol, CEO of Theinus, said, "In the prolonged pandemic, this year, trends to bring the comfort of nature into the home and contrasting trends to style the bathroom as a point of individuality or home will both gain popularity," adding, "Theinus will continue to create enjoyable bathroom spaces with premium tiles reflecting consumers' lifestyles and the latest trends in the new year."
