Jogyuil Jinju Mayor Visits Myeongseok~Jiphyeon Bypass Road Construction Site
Scheduled to Open at the End of February... Providing Benefits to Local Residents and Passersby
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju Mayor Cho Gyu-il visited the site of the 'Myeongseok~Jiphyeon Bypass Road Construction' scheduled to open at the end of February on the 6th, encouraging the construction personnel and checking the progress.
Jinju City plans to invest a total project cost of 14.6 billion KRW to construct a 2.1km section between Nabulgyo in Myeongseok-myeon and Sachon Village in Jiphyeon-myeon. After completing administrative procedures and detailed design in January 2020, construction began, with the road scheduled to open at the end of February.
Once the bypass road opens, citizens in the eastern area of Jinju will benefit from reduced travel distance by about 7km and travel time by about 7 minutes when using the national road toward Sancheong compared to the previous national road bypass, thereby improving traffic convenience.
