View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] AK Plaza announced on the 7th that it will begin full-scale sales of Lunar New Year gift sets at the food halls of its Bundang, Suwon, and Pyeongtaek branches from the 14th of this month until the 2nd of next month.
With the non-face-to-face gift trend expected to continue this Lunar New Year, AK Plaza selected DIY, small luxury, and online as keywords and will showcase a variety of gift sets.
AK Plaza is the only department store in the industry to offer a ‘Fresh Seafood DIY Set.’ This is a customized gift set where customers can directly select products according to the recipient’s preferences. Customers can choose 3 to 4 types from a total of 7 premium seafood items, including abalone, black tiger shrimp, yellowtail, and red sea bream, to create a set and gift it.
The premium holiday gift, Korean beef, is differentiated with the signature ‘Gaegun Hanwoo.’ Gaegun Hanwoo is a product branded and offered by AK Plaza since 1997 through direct delivery from production areas, boasting high quality and rich flavor. In particular, as the number of 1-2 person households preferring premium products increases, the small luxury sets have been strengthened.
Efforts have also been made to expand online sales channels through AK Mall. A 10% payback promotion is underway, returning up to 20,000 KRW in points for purchases over 70,000 KRW, and from the 10th, a Lunar New Year season promotion will provide an additional 10% of the purchase amount to customers using the gift service.
