Democratic Party Naju-Hwasun Regional Committee Officially Launches 'Local Election Support Team' Activities
Planning to Guarantee Voters' Right to Know and Maximize Citizens' Choice Options
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Democratic Party’s Naju-Hwasun Regional Committee (Chairman Shin Jeong-hoon) has stepped up to make the local elections a festival led by political parties.
The Democratic Party’s Naju-Hwasun Regional Committee officially launched its activities on the 5th by holding a ‘Local Election Support Group’ inauguration ceremony.
Prior to the inauguration ceremony, a ‘Victory Resolution Rally for the 20th Presidential Election’ was also held.
The resolution rally was attended by Regional Chairman Shin Jeong-hoon, Jeonnam Provincial Party Chairman Kim Seung-nam, National Assembly member Yoon Gun-young (Seoul Guro-gu Eul), Naju Mayor Kang In-gyu, City Council Chairman Kim Young-duk, incumbent city and provincial council members, prospective candidates, and about 280 Democratic Party members from the Naju City Era Transition Campaign Headquarters, composed as one team with civil society including university students, youth, women, and persons with disabilities.
The regional committee formed a local campaign headquarters of about 300 members, including standing co-campaign chairpersons, standing advisors, co-campaign chairpersons, co-deputy campaign chairpersons, and co-situation room chiefs, as one team with general citizens and civil society organizations recruited through an open platform, and awarded appointment letters on the day.
Chairman Shin Jeong-hoon said, “The great transformation of the Republic of Korea will begin from the regions,” and urged, “Please run hard with the determination of ‘I am Lee Jae-myung’ to ensure the election of candidate Lee Jae-myung, who has strong leadership, and to lead Lee Jae-myung’s overwhelming victory starting from Naju.”
Jeonnam Provincial Party Chairman Kim Seung-nam and National Assembly member Yoon Gun-young drew great responses with their passionate lectures on the ‘Attitude of Democratic Party members for victory in the 20th presidential election.’
Following this, under the auspices of the Naju Local Election Support Group, prospective candidates for the local elections signed a ‘Clean Election Agreement’ to hold a fair and clean election led by the political party, pledging to make this election a festival where citizens and political parties come together through a fair policy election.
Then, the inauguration ceremony of the Naju Local Election Support Group was held.
The support group was planned for the first time nationwide to guarantee voters’ right to know and maximize citizens’ right to choose. It plans to conduct candidate information sharing, policy announcements, and discussions on local issues in compliance with party rules and regulations.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party Jeonnam Provincial Party formed a local election planning team at its steering committee meeting on the 21st of last month and appointed National Assembly member Shin Jeong-hoon as the head of the planning team.
