[CES2022] KOTRA·KEA Operate Integrated Korean Pavilion with 78 Companies
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] KOTRA announced on the 5th that it will operate an integrated Korea Pavilion consisting of 78 advanced companies at the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition, 'CES 2022,' jointly with the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Industry Association (KEA).
The integrated Korea Pavilion also includes 38 companies possessing key future technologies located in local regions such as Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center, Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, Gyeongnam Technopark, Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency, and Changwon Industry Promotion Agency.
KOTRA supports the entire process from preparation to post-event to maximize the performance of the CES integrated Korea Pavilion, participating offline for the first time in two years. To establish a pre-marketing strategy, it promoted the 'CES 2022 Eureka Integrated Korea Pavilion Preview Showcase' within 'KES 2021 (Korea Electronics Show)' to gauge responses from the domestic industry and consumers. Additionally, it held a CES participation briefing session, providing education on preparation for exhibition and application guidelines for the CES Innovation Awards. As a result, eight exhibiting companies actually received CES Innovation Awards.
To strengthen non-face-to-face online marketing expanded due to COVID-19, KOTRA opened a Korea Pavilion within the B2B online platform 'BuyKorea' and linked it to a landing page for buyer discovery and consultation arrangement, supporting online marketing such as product promotion of the integrated Korea Pavilion, uploading pitching videos of participating companies, and arranging online and offline consultations during and after the exhibition period. In particular, KOTRA enhanced matching with buyers by utilizing 'TriBig,' KOTRA's trade and investment big data service.
Park Cheongwon, Vice Chairman of KEA, stated, "Although the total number of participating companies at CES 2022 has significantly decreased to about 2,200, approximately 430 domestic companies, including 78 companies in the integrated Korea Pavilion, are participating. Especially, many companies leading the global market in technology fields such as healthcare and mobility have participated."
