Mujugun, Full-Scale Construction of County-Operated Nursing Hospital Begins
Construction Starts in the First Half of This Year... Completion by the End of Next Year
[Muju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Muju County announced on the 5th that it will actively promote the construction of a county-run nursing hospital this year to ensure a healthy and dignified old age.
The county-run nursing hospital, to be built on a total floor area of 5,100㎡ in the Dangsan-ri area of Muju-eup, will have one basement floor, three above-ground floors, and 126 beds.
Muju County plans to complete the design by February after conducting a feasibility study and administrative procedures for the establishment of the county-run nursing hospital, start construction in the first half of this year, and complete the construction by October 2023 or within the year.
The site is characterized by excellent accessibility and connectivity, as it is located near health care and social welfare facilities such as the Dementia Relief Center, welfare center, and nursing home.
The nursing hospital will be equipped with medical facilities reflecting its characteristics, including examination rooms, physical and rehabilitation therapy rooms, patient rooms, and program rooms, aiming to provide prompt and appropriate medical services and convenience to patients through the construction of a high-quality nursing hospital.
In addition, as facilities for patients requiring both specialized treatment and care are expanded, it is expected to simultaneously alleviate the inconvenience and concerns of families who are unable to provide care at home, as well as the patients themselves.
Muju County plans to establish a cooperative system with the Muju County Health Medical Center and the future Muju County Nursing Hospital to operate dementia early screening and dementia management programs effectively.
