Barogo Launches Rider 'Budget Phone Plan'... "Unlimited Data Starting at 20,000 KRW"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Startup Barogo announced on the 5th that it has partnered with Medialog's budget phone brand 'U+Altteul Mobile' to launch a rider-exclusive budget phone plan.
The Barogo rider-exclusive budget phone plan features unlimited data at a minimum monthly price in the 20,000 KRW range.
There are three types of plans in total. First, Barogo Data Call Unlimited PRO (49,000 KRW/month / 5GB per day, unlimited 5Mbps speed after usage) allows riders who use a lot of data for delivery apps and navigation apps to use high-speed data freely without worrying about additional charges.
Barogo Data Call Unlimited (33,990 KRW/month / 11GB per month, 2GB per day after usage, unlimited 3Mbps speed after that) also provides voice and text as basic services. Compared to the PRO plan, it offers less data but is more affordable.
Barogo USIM Best Cost-Effectiveness (27,500 KRW/month / 15GB per month, unlimited 3Mbps speed after usage, 300 minutes voice, 300 texts) is a cost-effective plan focused on value, making it the best choice for riders with low voice, text, and data usage.
Barogo and U+Altteul Mobile also introduce prepaid plans that allow riders to pay in advance and use the service, expanding riders' options for selecting plans.
This is a fixed-rate prepaid plan that allows continuous use of voice, text, and data for one month after payment, including ▲Barogo (Prepaid) Data Call Unlimited PRO (66,000 KRW/month / 5GB per day, unlimited 5Mbps speed after usage) and ▲Barogo (Prepaid) Data Call Unlimited (55,000 KRW/month / 11GB per month, 2GB per day after usage, unlimited 3Mbps speed after that).
Barogo explained, "Before launching the plans, we conducted a survey of about 500 riders in August last year, and based on the responses, we introduced a reasonably priced unlimited data plan that riders need the most."
