"CJ ENM Implements 'B.I+' for Voluntary External Activities Every Friday with a 4.5-Day Workweek"
Annual Self-Development Time Increased to 208 Hours
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] CJ ENM Entertainment Division announced on the 5th that starting January 1st this year, every Friday afternoon will be designated for autonomous external activities outside the office space under the ‘B.I+ (Break for Invention Plus)’ program.
With the implementation of this system, CJ ENM Entertainment Division employees will work only 4.5 days (36 hours) per week in the office. Under B.I+, after completing 4 hours of morning work every Friday, work PCs will be shut down collectively without separate applications. However, essential work teams and personnel on Friday afternoons may adjust their schedules and use the time as needed.
Until now, CJ ENM Entertainment Division has operated the B.I system, allowing employees to autonomously choose working hours by adjusting commuting times and to spend half a day every two weeks on ▲rest ▲seminars and conferences ▲cultural activities such as watching movies, performances, and exhibitions ▲networking, and other self-development activities. This was designed to provide employees with time and space to think creatively, considering the content industry’s need for empathy and differentiated originality. With the expanded B.I+ system, employees’ self-development time will increase from 104 hours to 208 hours annually.
